  2. Thank you :). The old knights impressed me back in WD128 or whenever they were released. Only took a couple of decades to paint them...

Gold, errrr I have no idea. Most of my gold painting is done with GW Shining Gold / Glistening Gold OR Foundry Bright Gold / Old Gold, shaded with Devlan Mud / Gryphonne Sepia, highlighted with gold basecoat and then Mithril Silver added. For these models I went for a brighter gold so I suspect I started with a Gold / Mithril Silver mix and just did everything one step brighter (and used Gryphonne Sepia rather than Devlan Mud.)

  3. Thanks for the tips, I view myself as an above average painter but struggle with making my gold look as bright and eye catching as I can get my silver :-/ Looking through the rest of your blog, I can safely say you have one of my favourite painting styles I have seen, full stop. Simply stunning. It seems to combine the bright, bold approach of GW 1990s with modern techniques to create lovely results. Do you have any complete armies or do you tend to just paint individual pieces that pique your interest?

While they pale in comparison to your work, if you are interested I have a little tumblr of some of painting at http://miniaturelegions.tumblr.com/. Any tips or comments would be appreciated! :D
